Southeast Austin EMS
The Southeast Austin Emergency Medical Service facility at Knuckles Crossing
was a unique project. It was designed during the early stages of the
Austin Green Building program, which provides design guidelines for using sustainable and renewable resources.
This building
achieved the second highest Green Building rating of “Gold” with design features
such as rainwater collection, recycled metal and wood products, recycled glass
for concrete aggregate, insulated concrete forms for the exterior load bearing
walls, and wood products from sustainable forests.
